CMAT 2013 Entrance was introduced last year with the vision to give relief to aspirants from appearing in multiple entrance exams to get admission in B-Schools of the country. Common Management Aptitude Test is conducted twice in a year and accepted by all major B-Schools as their eligibility criteria. As the exam is new and started last year only, most of you must be appearing in the exam first time or second time. So it became more necessary for each one of you to prepare well to score high in this exam. This exam is slowly gaining popularity among students and the score will be accepted by all AICTE approve management schools. Here are some useful tips to crack this important exam:

Start early preparation: If you know when you are going to appear in this exam and your exam schedule, you should start your preparation well before time. One should start preparing for the exam at least 6 months before the exam. It will help you to increase your confidence and your scores as well.

Read newspapers, magazines and current affairs: To score well in this general aptitude section aspirant should read newspapers, magazines and other current affair. You should keep yourself updated with latest business and market trends and news. Read at least two, three different newspapers and magazines to know the current affairs and business news.

Take mock exams: To get familiar with the exam pattern aspirants should take mock test papers as much as you can. It will give you clear idea what type of questions are asked in the exam and what will be the difficulty level of each question.

Work on speed and accuracy: This is one area on which each candidate should focus. This is the best way to increase your score. If you can complete your exam before the given time with high accuracy, your score card will increase.

Avoid random guess: There is negative marking in the exam, for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted. It is really important even during your preparation you should avoid random guess to avoid glitches on the final day. Make a guess only when you are highly confident that your guess will hit the right mark.

Clear your basic concepts: Many questions will be based on your graduation syllabus, concepts and theories you have studied in Class 10+2 and in your graduation. To score well, it is necessary that you should brush up your basic concepts.

Work on weaker sections: This is really important stage of preparation that you should start working on your weaker sections. You should identify that which sections are giving jolts to you at the time of preparation and consuming more time compared to others. Identify them and rectify them to enhance your performance in the exam.

Buy books for preparation: At the time of preparation you should consult three or four different preparation books. It will help you to get a clear idea what type of question will be asked in different sections.

Prepare short notes: While preparing for the exam and going through the basic concept make short notes. It will help you in revision as you do not require going back to the books again and again to see formulas and concepts.

Revise & Revise: Revise as much as you can is only mantra for success. It will help you to brush up your preparation and in gaining more confidence. The more you revise, the more you get familiar with concepts and basics of subjects. In short, revision is the key for your success.
